how it all started
The magic began in the 1990s with a simple find - a hand-crafted witch doll from a local fall festival. When the founder, Cammie, looked at the doll’s empty basket, she didn't just see an accessory—she saw a story.
Witch Grannie was born on the Candy Moon, traveling to Earth every October 1st to spend the month with lucky families. Throughout the month, she delights children by filling her basket with daily surprises and treats. Then, at the stroke of midnight on Halloween, she vanishes into the night sky, returning back to her home in Forevermore Forest, until next year.
What started as a family tradition soon spread to classrooms, where Witch Grannie became a beloved guest to treasure. Today, she’s here to help families trade screen time for discovery and the simple joy of wonder.

About our author/creator
Cammie Brodie uses her creative abilities to inspire children and families to connect in fun and meaningful ways. Growing up in northern California, she went trick-or-treating every Halloween in a witch costume. Her favorite thing is being a mother to two adventurous boys, and grandmother to a sweet baby girl. Cammie has a passion for family history, and when she is not reading, writing, or making things, you will find her walking on a beach or in a forest, enjoying the beauty of nature.
About the book illustrator
Kaja Kajfež is a freelance illustrator and visual storyteller, known online as Iz Ptica. She mainly illustrates children's books by creating playful and heartfelt imagery. Her personal projects are often inspired by nature and emotions. Since 2017, she has been running her own small studio, collaborating with publishers and clients of all types. When she's not drawing, you'll probably find her on a long walk in nature, flipping through old books, or enjoying tea time with her dog.
